Loveland Benson Pond dredging, Buckhorn Train Shed Replacement Starts Soon
The City of Loveland Parks & Recreation Department has two park projects for Benson Sculpture Garden and North Lake Park. Benson will be getting general park and storm preparation maintenance and North Lake will be on the receiving end of a some structural improvement.
According to a press release from Parks & Recreation, the Buckhorn Northern Railroad shed replacement at North Lake Park starts demolition in November and will start building in December.
The Benson pond dredging and storm water pipe installation will start in late October. The estimated completion date is late March.
According to the press release, "this project entails sediment removal from the lower pond in Benson Sculpture Garden and storm water drainage improvements under 29th Street."
Construction will have fenced-in areas including some parts of Benson Sculpture Garden and North Lake Park.
29th Street will remain open throughout the projects.
