Rocky Mountain National Park is a beautiful place in so many different ways but it can also be deadly if you're not careful. In fact, Rocky Mountain National Park is among the 10 deadliest national parks in the entire country.

Sadly, according to a press release from Rocky Mountain National Park, a 33-year-old man from Denver has died after a 50-foot fall at Many Parks Curve inside the park along Trail Ridge Road.

The fall happened on a rock outcropping between the upper and lower parking areas at Many Parks Curve. The man’s body was transferred to the Larimer County Coroner’s Office.

The man's name has not been released and will not be until his family has been notified.

The Many Parks Curve along Trail Ridge Road is basically a pull out to see a scenic vista of "many parks" including: Moraine Park, Upper Beaver Meadows, and Horseshoe Park meadows which are visible with Deer Mountain and Longs Peak in the distance.

According to the Estes Park Trail Gazette, the park will require a reservation for entry starting on Friday, May 28 (the kickoff of Memorial Day Weekend). There will be TWO different types of reservations available this summer. There will be an "Entire Park" pass and one for a pass MINUS Bear Lake.

The park will be allowing between 75-85% capacity (that's parking lot and shuttle capacity). Last year it was at 60%.
