The Colorado House gave its approval on Friday (March 10th, 2017) to limit marijuana patients plant from 99 to only 16 in their home. It appears that the bill is attempting to close a loophole in the system and make it harder for larger grow operations to avoid regulations and taxes.

The bill is limiting medical marijuana patients to only 16 plants in their residential space. If a patient needed any more than that, they would have to have an industrial area or alternatively, shop at a dispensary.
