Pumpkin Spice PSA: Review of Peace Love & Little (Pumpkin) Donuts

I used to hate coffee, but when I tried my first pumpkin spice latte in 2014, I sent myself into an endless spiral of debt and over-caffeination everything changed.

My love for coffee began to flourish, and I now look forward to pumpkin spice each fall. 

Well, fall is officially here now, baby. October has started and I am ready to let my white girl flag fly. So, in order to have an excuse to buy coffee for work help the greater good of humanity, I have decided to review pumpkin spice products all October long.

It's finally here: the final installment of the "Pumpkin Spice PSA."

I know you've been waiting on the edge of your seats each week to find out which pumpkin-flavored item you should consume next.

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but all good things must come to an end. October is over, Christmas coffee will soon arrive at Starbucks, and I have eaten more pumpkin products than I can handle (just kidding, I could literally survive off of pumpkin spice alone).

For my last review, I decided to throw it back to the food theme of week two, and try the fall-themed snacks at Peace Love & Little Donuts.

First, I tried the "Pumpkin Spice Latte" donut. This treat is a pumpkin cake donut, topped with a creamy frosting and some sugary drizzle.

And it is so. GOOD. The frosting and drizzle were yummy, but the donut itself really stands out. It is the perfect texture and the perfect amount of sweetness.

The only bummer is that it's so, well, little. I love that I can treat myself to some sugar without going overboard, but this donut was so good I wish I had gotten more than one.

Next, I tried one of their Halloween donuts. This one was a traditional cake donut with vanilla frosting and some spooky colored sprinkles.

So, not really pumpkin, but still festive (please ignore the remnants of the first donut in the background).

While this donut is less distinctive than its pumpkin counterpart, I was happy I purchased it. It was a high-quality donut, with just the right amount of sprinkles. The frosting was also delicious — it had my taste buds doing the monster mash (horrible, I know, I'm sorry.)

If you're looking for a sweet treat this Halloween, I definitely think it's worth it to swing by Peace Love & Little donuts for a bite. They offer a flavor for everybody at a cheap price, along with a quality recipe.
