Red Rocks Amphitheatre has changed a lot over the years, since it held its first live music events in 1941. And, in 2020, the concert season was quieter than usual, as fans adapted to social distancing, and artists adapted to 175 fans in the stands for a sold-out gig.

Taking a look back, Red Rocks shared a photo of what the venue looked like in the 1940s, and while the stage has changed a lot, with the exception of a few large groups (and the fashion), the sparse crowd looks pretty 2020.

This is what the audience looked like in August, when the venue reopened for a limited amount of guests, after no shows for over 100 days.

More recently, nationally-touring acts like Megan Thee Stallion and Sam Hunt have played Red Rocks for a virtual audience only, while Nathaniel Rateliff and Fitz and the Tantrums performed for small crowds.
