This Weekend: Prohibition Party, Hogwarts Halloween & More
Ordering a Pumpkin Spice Latte isn’t the only way you can spice up your October this week. These three weekend events will have anyone who needs to add a little pizzazz to their life satisfied come Monday morning.
This party is for anyone who has ever seen The Great Gatsby and has since been dying to attend their own 1920’s themed extravaganza. Crossroads Safehouse’s Prohibition Party starts at 6 p.m. on Saturday. This roarin’ event will take place at the Fort Collins Hilton, and the entry fee is $75 per person. Don’t forget to dress up and dress era-appropriate, as there will be food, beverages and dancing all themed accordingly. The entry fee covers your speak easy entry, hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and spiked waters.
On both Friday and Saturday, this spook-tastic event will have our Harry Potter fans anxiously awaiting to get through the doors. Geared towards children from the ages of five to 14 years old, Northside Aztlan Community Center has completely transformed into a world of mystery, games and magic in every corner. Come dressed as your favorite wizard or witch, and youths will be able to practice basic wizardry such as spell-casting, creating potions, eating chocolate frogs, drinking butterbeer and playing Quidditch. The event is expected to hit a 600-count attendance level, so check-in early. The event will occur at 6-9 p.m. both days, with an entry fee of $15.
The third annual Greeley Multicultural Festival focuses on celebrating the diverse cultures within our community. Occurring from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, attendees will have the opportunity to indulge in a multi-sensory experience with music, performances, food, demonstrations, crafts and much more! Entry for this event is free, making any Greeley resident's excuse not to stop by invalid.
